But first… A Christmas Message From Me

I want to wish everyone a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. I’m so very grateful for all of the support during 2019 including all of the people who encouraged me and fueled my creative flame with their positive feedback. I hope that all of my fans here on the blog are well and that you have a wonderful holiday with family and friends.

And for any of you who are going through difficult or tough times, I hope you have someone who will come along side of you and that things will get better. I’m wishing you a peace-filled and joyful 2020!

And now… Pencil Pouches with Breeze and Mochi Linen!

The cool blue color palette of the BREEZE fabric line, along with it’s edgy and eye-catching sashiko denim-inspired designs, makes an absolutely fantastic companion to the new and versatile MOCHI LINEN collection. MOCHI LINEN balances the azure tones of BREEZE with it’s soothing, neutral linen colors and this thicker, stiffer textured fabric is a perfect fit for a project like these stylish pencil pouches.

Zen Chic’s Breeze and Mochi Linen fabric collections combine beautifully to create this pencil pouch sewn with a free pattern from Noodlehead.

To make my own chic version of this pouch, I combined Mochi Linen prints from the Breeze collection with a print. I found that the indigo blue sashiko print is a perfect companion!

The free pattern that was used for these pencil pouches was created by Anna Graham, the great mind behind Noodlehead!

This stunning little pencil pouch was sewn using a free pattern from Noodlehead and with the Breeze and Mochi Linen fabric collections from Zen Chic.

The pouch in the picture above was sewn by Bärbel Ott!

I embellished one of the pouches with sashiko stitching in Aurifil floss and another one with a leather label. The zippers got an additional leather handle for a unique contemporary accent.

This pencil pouch makes a perfect afternoon project and is something you can spoil yourself or a friend with.
