Welcome back to our first-ever free Spring in Paris Quilt Along. Have you joined the rest of our wonderful community of quilters yet? It’s great to be part of it and make this pretty quilt together.

If you haven’t joined us or you’re just reading about it now, jump on in. There is still time, no worries. In each dedicated newsletter, we share a list with the earlier newsletter so you can always catch up with the rest of us.

On Instagram and Facebook

#springinparisqal. This is our special hashtag for sharing your progress on Instagram. We do not only love to see how you are doing with the QAL, but we also like to treat the quilters that join us. But more on that later. First let’s look at a few of the photos shared this week

On Facebook we come together in the special pop-up group for the Spring in Paris Quilt Along. We talk about all things to make the Spring in Paris quilt a success. Knowing that you are not alone and chatting with your fellow participants is cozy and creates nice friendships along the way. People connect over this fellow project they are working on.

The treats for our Spring in Paris quilters

Every week, we have a fabulous prize given to us by one of our sponsors. Last week, it was Aurifil that generously gave away a Thread Bundle to one of the Quilt Along participants. Anita (@ancreativ) was our lucky winner. Congrats!!

This week, our sponsor is Moda Fabrics. They made available this incredible prize, being a Fat Eighth Bundle of the new collection Dance in Paris. Now, who doesn’t want to win that?!

All you need to do is post your progress until Tuesday, May 25th in our Facebook group or on Instagram using the hashtag #springinparisqal so we can find your post. That’s all you need to do to enter the drawing.

What we’ll cover this week

This week, week 3 of the QAL, we are starting to sew some of our triangles together. In the special newsletter you can find all kinds of tips and tricks on how to easily and precisely put together the first 6 rows of your quilt.

For the more visual quilters, I have made a video tutorial where I show exactly how to do this. In fact, I share video tutorials throughout the whole Quilt Along. Sometimes it’s easier to show than to tell.

Join us!

If you’re not quilting with us yet, come and join us. We are having so much fun, especially now that gathering online is fairly the best option to quilt together. You’ll get access to me directly to ask questions in our Facebook group. You can win some amazing prizes during our 7 weeks quilting together. And not to mention, you’ll walk away with an amazing quilt to enjoy.

The Spring in Paris Quilt Along is free. The only investment is the pattern. The rest you’ll get on the house!

And if you want to read more about it, we have a special page where you’ll find all the information regarding schedule, materials and much more. Click here to check it out.

Hope to welcome you soon!
