DOP QAL Week 1

June 5, 2024 Brigitte Heitland

Sew Much Fun: Embarking on the Dots on Point Quilt Sew-Along Journey with Zen Chic

Welcome, crafty couturiers and quilting queens, to the first week of our DOTS ON POINT Sew Along – a gathering of fabric fanatics and pattern professionals! We're stitch-tinglingly excited to kick off this journey.

We gather here for a shared mission — to journey through a realm of thread and fabric and to discover new patterns and creations! Oh, and to create a Dots On Point quilt too. 🙂

In the coming five weeks, we will chart a course into unexplored territories, experiment with a spectrum of color combinations, masterfully command our cutting tools, maneuver high-performance machines, and at the end of it all, emerge with a breathtaking creation. The possibilities are as boundless as your imagination! So, fellow quilters, I ask you, are you ready for this exciting adventure??

Full speed ahead!

What's a Sew Along, you ask?

For more details, feel free to check out the "dots on point - quilt along" main page. Happy browsing!

Fabric requirements

Now let’s talk fabric: Choosing the right fabric is like picking the right wine – it sets the tone. So, whether you're a lover of bold and bright or soft and subtle, we've got tips that'll have your quilt looking sewphisticated.

Take advantage of precuts and use Charm Packs or Jelly Roll strips. Or select a beautiful assortment of yardage sections. Of course, you could also finally empty your scrap box, why not? Let’s have a look at what we are working with for our demo
