Christmas in July is THE motto right now. Such a myriad of great Christmas fabric collections to go through. When I created mine, I wanted to have something modern and a bit different, so I developed
White Christmas, 28 elegant holiday fabrics beyond reds and greens
Wanna go through a sneak peek with me? Here are all the 28 fabrics
Of course I have also four brand new patterns to inspire you with these featured Christmas fabrics. I showed you the four new patterns already in my last post and you can go shopping for the sewing instructions here.
Along with the repeating prints come three panels (white, sand and black) which make for an eye-catching advent calendar.
This is an easy weekend project and starting sewing now will guarantee an eye-catching wall hanger filled with goodies in time.
And now up to the new block of our project Blockheads:
FREE QUILT ALONG BLOCKHEADS 2018
PATH THRU THE WOODS
We are with a traditional quilter this week: Betsy Chutchian. Betsy is the author of a lot of great books about traditional quilts and a Moda Designer for a couple of years now. She will be your host for Block #6 in our Moda Blockheads 2018 (Round 2) quilt along.
After last week's Block 5, which was a huge 24" Block, we now get back to a more familiar size, only 12" square.
Block 6, Path thru the Woods
A lot of half square triangles are required to make this block. I cut the pieces always a bit larger than needed, so that I can trim off the sewn units to their perfect size.
The trickiest part of this block is the middle point, where 8 seams accumulate. I pressed mine open to get not too much bulk in my way.
Don't miss the other blockheads involved in this project:

Lisa Bongean of Primitive Gatherings
