When being presented with the next block in our Sewcialites Quilt Along, I’m always curious what the name of the block of the week is. This week the name brought a smile to my face.

The word delight goes together with words like joy, happiness, pleasure. All words that I think of when I think of quilting. You probably feel the same, right?

Sewing and quilting is a delight from start to finish. From coming across a beautiful pattern or block and picking out your fabrics, to finishing your quilt and enjoying it when you curl up under it on the couch.

This week we’re going to add some delight to our sampler quilt. Barbara Groves and Mary Jacobson from Me and My Sister Designs have designed this week’s block and called it Delight.

The ladies are quilting for more than 25 years already and have a fun and somewhat whimsical website. Their fabrics and patterns are fun and delightful!

On Me and My Sister Designs’ website, Mary and Barb present also a few videos from YouTube. They were at Fat Quarter Shop a few times to do some tutorials and show their fabrics.

Talking about YouTube, Kimberly from FQS is showing us every Friday how the block of the week is made. She gives tips and tricks and shows how to tackle challenges. Tune in at 9 am CDT and join the Live on FQS’s YouTube channel.
