Quilting is fun, we can all agree on that. But you don’t just want to take out any pattern, take some fabric, and start all alone. Where’s the fun in that, am I right?
Sure you could ask a friend, maybe she wants to quilt with you, providing she quilts as well. Maybe you don’t have a close friend who is a quilter. You can join a Quilting Guild, but gathering these days is definitely a challenge.
That is why Zen Chic is putting together a Quilt Along. How exciting is that?!
Welcome to Zen Chic’s first-ever Quilt Along!
This is the first blog post dedicated to this free QAL. I’m so excited to bring you this 7-week quilting project as one of many Quilt Alongs for 2021 that are out there.
I have decided to celebrate the launch of the new fabric collection Dance in Paris with a fabulous online get-together. We are going to make a beautiful quilt using a new pattern.
The quilt we are going to make
The pattern for our quilt is called Spring in Paris. It is specially designed for this new collection and we will be putting it together over a period of 7 weeks. By the end, you will have a wonderful new quilt to decorate your home with, give as a gift, or enjoy yourself.
You can make this quilt in 3 different sizes, the regular one, a baby quilt size, or a queen-sized one. You get to pick your favorite!
Of course, it is up to you to decide which fabrics you will use, but since we are celebrating the new Dance in Paris collection, quilting shops have been putting together quilting kits just for this Quilt Along. In each kit, you will find enough fabric to make the Spring in Paris quilt exactly like the pattern.
How can you participate?
To a group of dedicated quilters, I will share all the instructions through a special newsletter each week during the 7 weeks we are running the QAL. In each newsletter, you will get detailed information on how to put together each piece of this modern quilt. (Be aware, this will not be in our regular newsletter. This is a special one dedicated to the Spring in Paris Quilt Along.)
I will share bonus materials, I don’t share anywhere else. Think about video tutorials and special tips and tricks to keep you going. Through an exclusive Facebook group just for this Spring in Paris Quilt Along, you have access directly to me and my team should you run into issues or challenges. And of course to share your progress and talk to other participants!
