Let’s start the year with “Serenity”
Welcome back, my quilting friend. It’s been a few weeks since we had a new block for the Sewcialites Quilt Along. So whether you used this time to catch up with some blocks you still needed to make or you took some time off and spent it relaxing, I bet you are up for a new quilting goodie.
This week the lovely Chelsi Stratton is our designer. Chelsi is a mother to 3 kids, a wife, and she designs fabrics for Moda together with her mom. And she is also a podcaster.
With her mom at the other side of the table, she hosts The Quilting Life Podcast. Now that is something not all quilters do, right? I think it’s awesome. They talk about all things quilting, their favorite blogs, project organization and so much more. Go check them out someday, you can find them on YouTube.
Chelsi created a lovely block for our sampler quilt this week and she called it Serenity. What a perfect name for a block after such a hectic year, and what about that holiday season, right? We all could use some serenity right about now.
However, if you’re up for some quilting time with friends and you would like to quilt along with Kimberly from Fat Quarter Shop, Friday at 9 am CDT is the time to log onto YouTube and join their channel.
When you have the Serenity Block ready and done, show us in the Facebook group, the Sewcialites Lounge. In there you can connect with other quilting friends and talk about the block, ask questions, and just have a good time looking at all the eye candy.

Can you believe the Sewcialites Quilt Along is almost over? I almost say, because even though the free blocks are all shared in the quilting community, we still have a quilt to make.
