A block with a modern touch

We have come to week 4 in Fat Quarter Shop’s quilt along, Sewcialites. Are you having just as much fun as I’m having? I love quilting the blocks made by the different designers Fat Quarter Shop engaged in this FREE quilt along.

Kimberly Jolly, the owner of FQS is doing an amazing job by showing us every Friday in a Livestream on their YouTube channel how to best piece every block together. This is especially great for beginners and us, quilters who might want a little refresher or for the one, who wants to learn new techniques. Why don’t you quilt along with Kimberly this Friday at 9 am CDT?

Now let’s look at this week’s block, shall we? The free block for this week is called Spirited by Vanessa Goertzen.

Vanessa is one of the modern designers for Moda. I’m always amazed by how she manages her business and on top of that being a single mother of 2 children with all the responsibilities that come along with that. She truly does an amazing job.
